MLB Civil Rights Game Day

The Community Inclusion Panel is organizing a table for Cincinnatus members who wish to attend the May 15 Beacon Awards Luncheon (11:30 am at the Duke Energy Convention Center) and the MLB Civil Rights Game (7:10 pm at Great American Ballpark).  A table seats ten (10) attendees.  Cost is $100 per ticket, which covers both events.
At the luncheon, baseball legend WILLIE MAYS, tennis champion BILLIE JEAN KING and entertainment icon HARRY BELAFONTE will be honored.  Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, ANDREW YOUNG will deliver the keynote address.  Of course, MLB Commissioner BUD SELIG and other baseball luminaries will participate in the luncheon.  The Reds will play the St. Louis Cardinals in the Civil Rights Game.  This is the Reds' second and final time to host this event.  Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of this historic occasion.  Contact Al DeJarnett (aldejarnett@gmail.com) if you're interested.  [Posted 4/26/2010]

HOMES Hidden Treasures Forum

On November 19, the 2011 HIDDEN TREASURES FORUM will take place.  Cincinnatus is a co-sponsor of this event which is a celebration honoring the 28 Stable Integrated Communities in the Cincinnati area that have been integrated at least 20 years and more than half of them up to 30 and 40 years. The last ‘Hidden Treasures’, published in 2007, only listed 15 communities that met the 20 year qualification.  The Cincinnatus Association, through the Inclusion Panel, was a founder of this project.  Anyone interested in attending this event on Nov. 19th, please contact Myra Calder at myra.calder@homecincy.org.
