RiverSpan Sculpture Exhibition and Sale

The Arts and Culture Panel invites and welcomes all Association members to plan to attend the RiverSpan Sculpture Exhibition and Sale on June 20-22.  This is an annual, international fine art sculpture event held on the deck of the Purple People Bridge spanning the Ohio River - a three-day celebration of fine art sculpture with over 120 applicants from 23 states and 3 continents offering 900 works of sculpture for purchase.  See additional information attached.  [Posted 4/21/08]

Arts Panel Reminder

A reminder that our next committee meeting and final meeting for the spring will be Tuesday, June 3, 5:00 PM. Yes, that's June. We will not have a May meeting on May 13, since we'll be at an off-site location (on the boat), and our guest committee member, Kathy Merchant, will not be available.

Our Tuesday, June 3, 5:00 PM meeting will be at CET/WGUC/WVXU (1223 Central Parkway). Free metered parking is available on the street at that time. . .or the city garage is an option, too. The purpose of our final meeting is to review with Kathy some of the findings and opportunities expressed at our March 18 forum and discuss with her how our committee can best aid and supplement her work with the GCF study, moving forward. John Bentley offers the attached "Arts in Ohio" bulletin, as well. [Posted 5/9/08]
