The Excellence in Government Panel provides a presentation and discussion of CINCINNATI STREETCARS, a project to bring streetcars (and passengers) to the streets of Cincinnati.  JOHN SCHNEIDER, Chair of the Alliance for Regional Transit and MICHAEL MOOSE, Principal of Glaserworks, will provide a visual presentation along with narrative and discussion of the project means and objectives. All Aboard for May Dinner Meeting

The Program Coordinating Committee announced that the May Dinner Meeting will be on the Ohio River - literally!!  Rick Griewe will be coordinating the dinner cruise event, which includes a presentation program on riverfront development.  Make plans to be there on May 13th.  You won't want to miss this adventure!!  (More information will be provided at a later date.) Member Dinner Meeting: Birmingham Pledge

Cincinnatus Association is pleased to invite and encourage all members to join us at the November Member Dinner Meeting (5:30-8:00 on Tue., 11/11/2008 at the University Club).

The Community Inclusion Panel is proud to provide a special opportunity to listen and learn about THE BIRMINGHAM PLEDGE, a successful effort very much like our own Greater Cincinnati Commitment, started in Alabama in 1998.  Birmingham Pledge Foundation founder JIM ROTCH and Executive Director WADE BLACK will provide a presentation on their efforts, obstacles and successes.

Community Inclusion Panel Chair Al DeJarnett and Association member Dorothy Battle traveled to Birmingham in September to participate in the Birmingham Pledge's 10th Anniversary Celebration.  The trip was publicized by The Birmingham News.

ROBIN ENGLE, UC School of Criminal Justice, GREG BAKER, Cincinnati Police and DARREN THIGPEN, Cincinnati Works will inform us about CIRV - Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence.  CIRV unites law enforcement with social service organizations, community leaders and former felons/offenders with street credibility to provide outreach services to the target population most at risk for being offenders.  The objective is to get these young men employed with support as they choose a different way of life.  This has become a nationally recognized initiative you will want to hear
