COMING SOON

Look for a new Website layout in 2008. It promises to be updated to provide current information, events and issues of your Cincinnatus Association.

Arts and Culture Panel

Ø  The Cincinnatus Arts & Culture Committee will host the dinner meeting and a live televised forum at CET on Tuesday evening, March 18.  (This will be one week later than the traditional "second" Tuesday Cincinnatus dinner meeting.) Work is underway preparing for that event.

Ø  Next meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 11, 5:00 PM, University Club

Government Panel

Ø  With assistance from John Frank and other Panel chairs, Cincinnatus has over 20 members from various panels working on the Agenda 360 community visioning process.

Ø  The Panel will also sponsor the program for the February 2008 membership meeting, at which Ellen van der Horst (the CEO of the Cincinnati Regional USA Chamber of Commerce) and top volunteer leaders of Agenda 360 will describe this initiative and seek to engage other Cincinnatus members in its activities.

Education Panel

Ø  Broadening its efforts to Northern Kentucky Public Schools

Ø  Mentoring Cincinnati Public School (CPS) Principals

Ø  Identifying corporate partners for CPS Schools

Ø  Collaborating with others to improve accountability and financial strength of CPS

Ø  Investigating alternatives to current CPS Board election process

Community Inclusion Panel

Ø  Cincinnatus has received a good deal of positive press for the report on Stable Integrated Communities.  In addition to coverage in the Business Journal, we've had Brandon Wiers interviewed on WVXU and an upcoming feature on CETConnect that presents the story as told at our November 13 monthly meeting.

Ø  The Greater Cincinnati Commitment has been revised and is being reintroduced to Cincinnatus and the community-at-large.  We are actively seeking co-sponsoring organizations and we welcome the help of all Cincinnatus members

Additional news

Ø  Next dinner meeting is December 11. Come and celebrate the holidays.
